A brief overview...
"Relais il Fienile" was inaugurated in April 1999 following
careful restoration of the house formerly used as a hayloft. We are certain
it has become an elegant and welcoming environment; an ideal refuge for those
seeking tranquillity, good taste, and excellent facilities. The beautiful
view of the Casentino landscape is incomparable,
and within walking distance, you can visit the main artistic Tuscan cities. In
the large park surrounding the swimming pool you can take long walks or rest.

Our idea of hospitality, which inspired the design and accomplishment of Relais, was built around you. Our guests not only
constitute for Relais' patrimony, but they are our
main source for keeping constant check on customer satisfaction and our
services. Therefore, please feel free to contact us for any request or advice
you may consider useful to improve your stay.
Structure
We have 6 en-suite bedrooms; complete with hair dryer, wardrobe, satellite
colour TV, and refrigerator.
We also provide a B&B service.
The hotel hospitality
Reservation
You can make reservations both by phone or by
letter/e-mail. We will do our best to reply within 24 hours from the time of
the request. Written confirmation for a reservation is provided upon explicit
customer request only.
Check-in
You will need to show us a valid identity card with photo. Rooms are normally
available for guest entrance by 2 PM, unless specified otherwise.
Check-out
Guests should leave their rooms by 10 AM. Please notify any delay in advance
so that we can manage our activities better. Any specific invoice request is
to be made the day before departure.
Main services
Room service
Rooms are cleaned daily from 9 AM to 12 PM - with regular replacement of one
set of towels, sheets and pillowcases. If necessary, you can contact the staff
for additional linen.
We wish to point out that we are close to a stunning National Park, which is
amongst the most beautiful and uncontaminated parks in Italy. For
this reason, we need to ask you to help us reduce the use of detergents and
avoid pollution. Therefore, please leave all used towels in the shower room
or bath. In this way, we are able to differentiate them from the clean ones.
The office
The office on the ground floor is your point of reference for whatever
problem you may experience during your stay, to get to know our services and
to obtain tourist information on local events, etc. Our library is
also at your disposal.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the dining room in the form of a buffet, from 8:30 AM
to 10 AM.
Swimming pool
The use of the swimming pool is free of charge and reserved for the exclusive
use of our guests. Please, remember to tell us in advance if you wish to
invite friends. The swimming pool is open from May 15th ‘til September
30th. Please remember to respect at all times the tranquillity of your
fellow-guests. We kindly ask you not to take the room's towels to the
swimming pool, as you will find the appropriate ones available.
Bar
There is a bar at your disposal in the lounge and on the patio. We ask you to
not consume food in your rooms nor in the swimming pool.
Ironing service
If you require that items be ironed, you can give them to the chambermaid
assigned to your particular floor.
Telephony and Internet
It is possible to telephone and use the Internet, simply ask at the office
for assistance.
Safe
We ask that you do not leave valuables in your room, as there is a free safe
service available by enquiring at the office.
Sport and leisure
There is a slide and swing available for children in the garden as well as a
‘play area’. We have access to a golf club: Golf Casentino di Poppi (9 holes) and hire out mountain bikes for local
excursions. Additionally there is the opportunity to go trekking.
Newspapers
By booking in advance, you can have you favourite ‘daily’
delivered to you in time for breakfast.
Parking
Parking is not supervised, and although there is no particular risk, we
advise you to lock cars, avoiding the use of noisy alarms that may disrupt
tranquillity.
Closing times
As we are situated in the heart of the countryside, during the night various
animals threaten to cause serious damage to the grounds, so we close the main
gate at midnight. If you wish to return later than this time, let us know,
and we will advise you of another method of return.
Code of conduct
We invite you to be respectful of the tranquillity of fellow-guests, in
particular to refrain from raising your voice on the staircases.
The guest must respect the environment, furniture and other equipment provided
by Relais.
We require that you do not smoke in the dining area.
Electrical items such as irons, heaters, coffee machines and open flames are
forbidden.
As the building is mainly wooden, we ask you to take precautions to avoid
fire hazards.
You must not smoke in bed, nor empty ashtrays in the dustbins, nor use
equipment not provided by Relais.
CANCELLATION FEE:
From the booking period to 15 days before the
staying, no fee will be applied.
From 15 to 7 days before the staying, a fee
of 30% will be applied.
From 7 to 1 days
before the staying, a fee of 50% will be applied.
From 0 days before the staying, and in case
of NO SHOW (none cancellation communication or failure to arrive) a full
charge (100%) will be applied
